Stash Swatch Initiative: OPI Magazine Cover Mouse

Hello!

This is OPI Magazine Cover Mouse!

OPI Magazine Cover Mouse. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

Magazine Cover Mouse is a saturated red texture polish with a heavy gold and pink shimmer. It's gorgeous! It does give off a Christmas-y feel though.

OPI Magazine Cover Mouse. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

Swatches today started with one coat of Duri Rejuvacote and one coat of Sinful Colors Nail Hardener. After that, I applied two easy coats of Magazine Cover Mouse and was on my way. I had no problems with this polish, and one coat was almost enough.

I found my bottle dusty-hunting at K-mart recently.

Stash Swatch Initiative: Zoya Dillon

Hello!

Today, I have Zoya Dillon swatched up for you!

Zoya Dillon. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

Dillon is a pretty, mint green shimmer. So much shimmer, it's almost metallic!

Zoya Dillon. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

I started with one coat of Sinful Colors Basecoat, then added two coats of Dillon. I topped this off with one coat of NYC In a New York Minute topcoat. This has a nice, easy formula. The first coat does go on a bit streaky and sheer, but the second provides a perfect, even finish.

I added one coat of Butter London Matte topcoat to my swatch to see what happened... and I think I like it better!

I purchased my bottle from Zoya.

Stash Swatch Initiative: Rainbow Honey One Minute More

****Products in this post were sent for review!***

Hello!

Today, I've got my full review of Rainbow Honey's One Minute More.

Rainbow Honey One Minute More. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

One Minute More is a daffodil yellow with a lot of pink shimmer. It's hard to determine, but I think there is also some green and gold shimmer amidst all that pink.

Rainbow Honey One Minute More. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

Swatches are one coat of Sinful Colors Base Coat, two coats of One Minute More, and one coat of NYC In a New York Minute. Formula on this polish is fantastic for a yellow. It is opaque but not streaky, yet odd. I wouldn't say this is a creme-based polish, but that is the overall look of it. It is strangely thick and almost textured, not very fluid at all, but that's what makes it apply so well, I think. It does dry smooth, but it is very strange.

Rainbow Honey One Minute More. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

My bottle was sent for review but can be purchased from Rainbow Honey. It is a part of their recent Summer Mixtape! collection, and I was given a promo code to share that is good to the end of the month: MIXTAPE20

Stash Swatch Initiative: Rainbow Honey All My Stars

Hello!

Rainbow Honey All My Stars. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

Today's swatch is Rainbow Honey All My Stars!

Rainbow Honey All My Stars. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

All My Stars is a fun glitter topper in a clear base. There's a lot of pastel, satin glitter in there -- pinks, blues, and yellows, but what takes this polish over the top is the addition of the brighter glitters. There are bright yellow, coral, and purple stars too. Rainbow Honey makes genius-level color combinations. I'd never, ever think to throw in some brights with pastels, but this polish really works. There is a gorgeous bit of purple shimmer in here as well.

Rainbow Honey All My Stars. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Swatches today are one heavily manipulated/dabbed coat over yesterday's Cirque Vaudeville swatch. I topped this off with one thick coat of Gelous plus one thick coat of Seche Vite to smooth out the glitter. My mani bubbled a bit, which I don't think is very apparent in these photos. This was my fault because I was impatient and had very important ice cream to go eat! ^_^ Anyway, you'll definitely want to dab this polish on and keep an orange stick handy to nudge the stars to where you want them.

This is one of Rainbow Honey's Limited Editions -- but it's still available on their website!

Stash Swatch Initiative: Cirque Vaudeville

Hello!

Today's polish is Cirque Vaudeville!

Cirque Vaudeville. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Vaudeville is a muted lilac with pretty gold to green shifting shimmer. I mostly pick up on the gold shimmer, but in sunlight, I can see some green sparks as well. I think this is the translucent/iridescent type of shimmer because, in some light, it is barely there. It's not what I was expecting, which was a more solid, opaque gold shimmer. However, this made for a much more subtle, gorgeous look.

Cirque Vaudeville. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Swatches today are one coat of Duri Rejuvacote, one coat of Sinful Colors Nail Hardener, two coats of Vaudeville, and one coat of Seche Vite. This polish applies very nicely. It is smooth and even, so with just one coat, you can get a subtle lilac 'blush' of color on your tips.

Cirque Vaudeville. Outdoors, sunight, no flash.

I purchased my bottle directly from Cirque a while ago. Vaudeville was part of their debut collection, Dark Horse, and I see it still available on their website today.

Stash Swatch Initiative: Orly Naked Canvas

Hello!

Today I have Orly Naked Canvas swatched up!

Orly Naked Canvas. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Naked Canvas and is an off-white cream with fine purple shimmer. That shimmer is a little shy, so it'll take some nice, direct light to get it to shine. Once it does, it is beautiful!

Orly Naked Canvas. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Swatches today are one coat of Duri Rejuvacote, one coat of Sinful Colors Nail Hardener, two surprisingly opaque coats of Naked Canvas, and one coat of Seche Vite. The formula on this is nice -- much nicer than I expected. Whites and pastels can be streaky and hard to apply, but this was smooth and self-leveling. No streaking and easy going!

Orly Naked Canvas. Indoors, artificial light, with flash.

I purchased my bottle from Sally Beauty.

Stash Swatch Initiative: Nerdlacquer Cyance Friction

Hello!

Today I have my other Nerdlacquer swatched up for you! This is Cyance Friction!

Nerdlacquer Cyance Friction. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

Cyance Friction is a gorgeous turquoise polish loaded with purple shimmer and copper and teal glitters.

Nerdlacquer Cyance Friction. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

Swatches today are one coat of Duri Rejuvacote, one coat of Sinful Colors Nail Hardener, two coats of Cyance Friction, and one coat of Seche Vite. Formula was good, and application went smoothly.

Nerdlacquer Cyance Friction. Indoors, direct sunlight light, no flash.

I purchased my bottle almost a year ago now from Nerdlacquer's website. Keep an eye on her Google+ page for restocks and updates!

Stash Swatch Initiative: Pure Ice Tease

Hi!

I have another aged polish to show you today. This one is Pure Ice Tease. Tease is a sheer pink jelly base loaded with shimmer.

Pure Ice Tease. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Swatches today are two coats of Tease, plus NYC In a New York Minute over my base coat of Seche Clear. Formula was good, but sheer as expected. Three coats would've been better now that I see the pictures on the big screen, but I usually use this as a topcoat rather than layer it up to opacity on it's own.

Pure Ice Tease. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
I'm sure I picked this up at least five years ago from Wal-mart. It's nothing too special, and I'm pretty sure I have similar polishes.

Stash Swatch Initiative: Cult Nails Flushed

Hello!

Today's polish is Flushed from Cult Nails.

Cult Nails Flushed. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Flushed is a beautiful, sheer grape-purple polish laced with a heavy orange/copper shimmer.

Swatches today are one coat of Sinful Colors Base Coat, three coats of Flushed, and one coat of NYC In a New York Minute. The formula is sheer, but builds easily. I had no problems with application.

Cult Nails Flushed. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

The shimmer is what makes this polish so great! Check it out in the sun!

Cult Nails Flushed. Indoors, filtered sun light, no flash.

I purchased my bottle from Llarowe, where it is still available. I normally buy directly from Cult Nails, but Flushed was a limited edition and is no longer available through them. So snatch this one up from Llarowe now or you are likely to miss out!

Stash Swatch Initiative: OPI Pompeii Purple

Hello!

Today I have an oldie but a goodie! This is OPI Pompeii Purple!

Pompeii Purple is an electric, barbie pink polish with a vibrant purple shimmer. It's a classic!

OPI Pompeii Purple. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Swatches today started with one coat of Sinful Colors Base Coat, two coats of Pompeii Purple, and one coat of NYC In a New York Minute. This polish applies wonderfully, even after all this time! My bottle is quite old!

OPI Pompeii Purple. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
I have had Pompeii Purple forever. Like Pure Ice Gossip, it was one of my very limited, acceptable pinks in my tiny collection long before I became a polish addict. I remember my mom, who has had acrylics forever, brought this home from her salon appointment so she could take it along on vacation for touchups, and I appropriated that bottle. I think I may have even finished up the original bottle and repurchased!

OPI Pompeii Purple. Indoors, direct but filtered sunlight (window), no flash.
This beauty has become a part of the core colors from OPI and can be found anywhere OPI is sold. I saw it this past weekend in Sally Beauty's new OPI display!

Stash Swatch Initiative: Dance Legend Termo 178

Hello!
Dance Legend Termo #178. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Today, I have my very first polish from Dance Legend to show you! This is Termo #178!

Dance Legend Termo #178, cold. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
178 is a heat-sensitive, color changing polish. When cold, it is a vibrant, deep pink with pink shimmer. When warm, it turns the lightest shade of blush pink, with the same pink shimmer showing through. It is gorgeous!

Dance Legend Termo #178, warm. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Swatches today are one coat of Sinful Colors Base Coat, two coats of 178, and one coat of NYC In a New York Minute. This polish has a superb formula. It is well-pigmented and glides on smoothly. This could be a worn with only one coat, but I have done two here out of habit.

Dance Legend Termo #178, cold tips. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Dance Legend is a Russian brand, I think, and the bottles are printed in (mostly) Russian. They're relatively new to the United States, with Llarowe (which is where I purchased this bottle from) and Ninja Polish picking them up recently. I'm so intrigued by this brand. Everything I've seen from them looks so phenomenal. I think this is one of those brands that if I had the means, I'd want everything they have. I spent all Sunday morning pouring over Anna Gorelova's blog, whom I think is the 'official' swatcher for this brand. I REALLY hope the Lumos and Glittergold collections come to Llarowe!

Stash Swatch Initiative: Essence Jacob's Protection

Hello!

Today's polish is Jacob's Protection from Essence.

Essence Jacob's Protection. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Jacob's Protection was a part of what I assume was a special edition collection for the second Twilight movie (third? I didn't fall victim to that particular craze.). It is a black jelly base loaded with shimmer. It's either iridescent shimmer that flashes blue, purple, and green or a mix of shimmers in those colors. It's hard to tell, but either way, it's really pretty.

Essence Jacob's Protection. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Swatches today are a base coat of Seche Clear, two coats of Jacob's Protection, and one coat of NYC In a New York Minute. I didn't have any problems with the formula, but I hate the brush! It's wide and flat, and I found it a bit difficult to use with precision.

Essence Jacob's Protection. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
So, I actually ended up wearing this one for our out-of-town trip last weekend. This swatch was so gorgeous, I couldn't wait to get this back on my nails. I was in a rush to do that mani before we left and must've used thicker coats than I did here. I think because of that is why this fell completely flat and dull on the nail. I was so mad and disappointed! I was stuck with what looked like pitted black polish on my nails all weekend instead of the glowing, navy sparkle-fest I was expecting! So, make sure you use a final thin coat to get this look!

I purchased this bottle a long while ago at Ulta. I doubt you can still find this one... sorry!

Stash Swatch Initiative: Sinful Colors Let's Talk

Hello!

Today, let's take a look at Sinful Colors Let's Talk.

Sinful Colors Let's Talk. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Let's Talk is a deep blue jelly packed with fine purple shimmer. It's so shimmery, it's almost metallic, and it walks the line between blue and purple.

Sinful Colors Let's Talk. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Swatches today are a base coat of Seche Clear, two coats of Let's Talk, and one coat of NYC In a New York Minute. Formula is okay -- it's a thinner polish that is streaky on the first pass, but evens out to opacity in two. Not bad for two bucks!

Sinful Colors Let's Talk. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
I purchased this bottle a long time ago from Walgreens. Pre-blog for sure! So, I'm not sure if this is still available.
