Stash Swatch Initiative: Trelly's MISC Sugar Plum Dance

Hello!

Trelly's MISC Sugar Plum Dance. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Today's polish has sat untouched for far too long, so long, in fact, that it is no longer available. Sorry about that, but I want to show you Trelly's MISC Sugar Plum Dance anyway!

Trelly's MISC Sugar Plum Dance. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

Sugar Plum Dance is a sheer purple jelly with orange, purple, and fuchsia circle- and hex-shaped glitters. I love the contrast between the colors here. The glitters range from very shiny to holographic, and the coverage from one coat is just right.

Trelly's MISC Sugar Plum Dance, layered. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

Swatches today are one dabbed coat of Sugar Plum Dance over yesterday's Cult Nails Flushed swatch plus one coat of Gelous and then one of NYC In a New York Minute. I had no issues with application.

Trelly's MISC Sugar Plum Dance, layered, matte. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

This polish was released by Cassie of Trelly's MISC way back 2012's holiday collection. I held off swatching it for so long because I just couldn't find the right base polish to use under it. I do think you could build this polish to opacity or close enough, but I don't care for most glitter polishes that way. Keep an eye out for new Trelly's on Facebook and at their storefront!

Stash Swatch Initiative: Trelly's MISC Hocus Pocus

Hello!

No nail art this week! I was too happy with this pairing to take it off. So, today I have a cute, Halloween glitter to show you: Trelly's MISC Hocus Pocus!

Trelly's MISC Hocus Pocus. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Hocus Pocus is a fun mix of matte glitters in a clear base. There are large circle glitter in light orange/yellow, light purple, and dark purple. There are also satin, purple stars, and matte, purple hearts. Small, light orange/yellow and micro, purple hexes round out this unique glitter topper.

Trelly's MISC Hocus Pocus. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
For swatches today, I've dabbed one coat of Hocus Pocus over yesterday's Nevermore swatch and added a generous coat of Gelous and finished it all off with one coat of Seche Vite. I didn't have any real problems with this polish, just a few things to note. First, these glitters are thicker than their non-matte cousins, so expect to use a few coats of topcoat to get somewhere close to a smooth finish. Secondly, the glitters do like to stick together, so have a toothpick or something handy to gently shove them over to where you want them.

Trelly's MISC Hocus Pocus. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
I purchased this polish recently from Trelly's Big Cartel store. Keep an eye out on her Facebook page for restock information -- this one was popular, so it might come and go a few times yet!

And, if the Vikings ever make it to a Superbowl, I know what polish I can wear to show of my team spirit!! Trelly's is based in Minnesota... coincidence? Hahaha!

Stash Swatch Initiative: Trelly's MISC Hopeful

Hello!

Trelly's MISC Hopeful. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
This here polish has been sitting in my Melmer untried for a whole year! This is Trelly's MISC Hopeful!

Trelly's MISC Hopeful. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Hopeful is a sweet mix of pink glitter in a clear base. There are shiny, holo, matte, and satin glitters in the mix. I see large, shiny hexes in fuchsia and holographic, light pink. There are smaller and micro versions of the light pink, holographic hexes as well. I also see small, matte pink hexes; satin, light pink hearts; matte, pink hearts; and satin, light pink squares. Pink, pink, and more pink! This was released last October for a reason - BCA!

Trelly's MISC Hopeful. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Swatches today are one dabbed on coat of Hopeful over Zoya Shelby, plus one coat of Gelous and one of NYC In a New York Minute. I didn't have any troubles with this polish. I did find myself digging for more hearts than came out of the bottle on their own, but I don't think that is a problem with the polish. There are just so many glitters in there, and this polish has a fairly light coverage, so I just wanted more than was coming up on the brush.

Trelly's MISC Hopeful. Window-filtered sunlight, no flash.
Like I said, I purchased this polish last year, and I have seen no mention of it returning this year. Trelly did just release some amazing fall polishes, though, so check out the store here or Facebook here.

Stash Swatch Initiative: Trelly's MISC Scruff Bunnies

Hello!

I have a recent Trelly's MISC polish swatched for today. This is Scruff Bunnies!

Trelly's MISC Scruff Bunnies. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Scruff Bunnies is a cute, matte glitter topper in a clear base. I see big circles in white, grey, black, and light and dark pink. There are also small hexes in grey and light and dark pink, along with tiny and micro black hexes.
Trelly's MISC Scruff Bunnies. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Swatches today are one coat of Scruff Bunnies over yesterday's Sally Hansen Wet Cement swatch, plus a coat of Gelous and NYC In a New York Minute. I found this polish easy to work with -- I brushed on the one coat with just a little bit of manipulation to place the big circles strategically. No issues to report.

I purchased this bottle from Trelly's Big Cartel store. It looks like it is currently sold out (because it's AWESOME), so keep any eye out on her Facebook page for restock announcements.

Stash Swatch Initiative: Trelly's MISC Never Growing Up

Hello!

Been awhile since we've seen a swatch around here! No worries, I've got three more lined up for this week, but today I have Trelly's MISC Never Growing Up.

Trelly's MISC Never Growing Up. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Never Growing Up is a cute mix of matte glitters in black, grey, and pink in a clear base. I see small, grey hexes; pink bars; pink stars; small, black rectangles; large, black hearts; large, black hexes; and micro glitter in grey, black, and pink. This polish is the perfect example of my preferred glitter coverage -- not too much so you can see each individual shape on the nail, but also not so sparse that it looks unfinished!

Trelly's MISC Never Growing Up. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
For swatches today, I've used one slightly manipulated coat of Never Growing Up over my China Glaze Sun-kissed swatch from back in August. I finished this off with one coat of Gelous and one of NYC In a New York Minute. This polish gave me no issues at all.

Trelly's MISC Never Growing Up. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Never Growing Up was from Trelly's summer collection, and I'm sorry to say, that I don't see it available on her site at the moment. However, there are a few others still available from the summer collection (Barbie Dream House is AWESOME too) AND Witches in the Sky is back from last year!!!! I purchased my bottle awhile ago, but keep a look out for announcements on her Facebook page -- polishes come back often!

Stash Swatch Initiative: Trelly's MISC Barbie Dream House

Hello! Half way to the weekend -- hang in there!

Today's polish is from Trelly's MISC's latest collection. This is Barbie Dream House.

Trelly's MISC Barbie Dream House. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Barbie Dream House is a cheery mix of glitters suspended in a clear base. I see two sizes of neon pink hexes; small, neon pink squares; large neon yellow hexes; some white micro-glitter; white stars; and white rectangles. So fun!

Trelly's MISC Barbie Dream House. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Swatches today are one very manipulated coat of Barbie Dream House over Zoya Zuza followed by one coat of Gelous and one of NYC In a New York Minute. Application of this one required a little bit of patience. The big pink hexes tend to grab the rest of the glitters in clump, so it took a lot of fiddling to get them apart -- not that I mind! Look at it -- gorgeous! Totally worth a little extra brush wiggle or two! But this is one of many indie polishes that may benefit from a bit of polish thinner. As with most polishes of this type, they are made with a thicker base formula to keep all that glitter in suspension.

I purchased my bottle from Trelly's Etsy shop. Cassie is super great about customer service and responding to questions. Follow her on Facebook for information about new collections and restocks! She's put out some pretty spectacular polishes (including one of my all time favorites). She is starting to preview fall/Halloween polishes, and they look awesome!

Stash Swatch Initiative: Trelly's MISC Witches In the Sky

Hello!

I have a limited edition, no-longer-available, polish to show you today. This is Trelly's MISC Witches in the Sky.

Trelly's MISC Witches In the Sky. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Witches in the Sky is a glitter bomb in a clear base. Glitters included are: Big, satin purple squares; small, satin green squares; green, metallic micro-squares; black squares in both tiny and micro size; and silver holographic stars AND moons.

Trelly's MISC Witches In the Sky. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
I had a terrible time finding undies to wear with this polish. I have tried several cremes, and I just didn't like the overall look. I was starting to be disappointed in my choice to purchase this baby, but, finally, I have found the perfect pairing! I love this!

Trelly's MISC Witches In the Sky. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Swatches today are one dabbed coat of Witches in the Sky with a coat of Gelous plus one coat of NYC In a New York Minute over yesterday's OPI The World Is Not Enough swatch. This polish has the typical, thicker indie polish formula, which I don't have any problems with. I didn't have to fish for the shaped glitters, and all the glitter stays in suspension.

Trelly's MISC Witches In the Sky. Outdoors, natural light (shade), no flash.
This was released in limited quantities for Halloween last year. It is no longer available, and no word on whether or not Cassie will resurrect it for this year. I'll let you know if it happens!

Trelly's MISC Witches In the Sky. Matted with Butter London's Matte Finish. Outdoors, natural light (shade), no flash.
I bought this bottle from the Trelly's MISC Etsy store. Her Facebook page is the best place to catch info, previews, and updates. Cassie is great about answering questions there, and I really appreciate the great customer service I've gotten when I've ordered. This isn't a well-known indie maker, but I recommend her! She's got an awesome summer collection out now that I WILL be purchasing from next restock!

Stash Swatch Initiative: Trelly's Misc Cauldron Bubble

Hello again!

Trelly's Misc Cauldron Bubble. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
I am so excited about this polish! This might be my favorite polish ever! And it's not even pink, which surprised me!

Trelly's Misc Cauldron Bubble. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
This is Cauldron Bubble from Trelly's Misc. This was a Halloween release, but there's nothing witchy about it. It is a stunning mix of glitters in a clear base. I used one careful coat over yesterday's China Glaze For Audrey. Love!

Trelly's Misc Cauldron Bubble. Outdoors, shade, no flash.
I see matte, white heart glitter; shiny hex glitters in lime green; two sizes of shiny, turquoise hexes; shiny turquoise squares; two sizes of matte, white hexes; small holo hexes; holo dust; super tiny turquoise bar glitter; and, finally, a sparse smattering of tiny, deep purples hexes. The shiny glitters catch the light and sparkle something fierce in the sun.

Trelly's Misc Cauldron Bubble. Outdoors, sunlight, no flash.
No issues with the formula. Most fingers just got one swiped coat. A few needed a little dab to fill in a spot or two, but nothing tricky. I was more careful with the placement of the heart glitters than I was with the moons from The Moon Sees Me swatch. I did not have to fish them out, but I only wanted a few on my nails, so I ended up wiping them off the brush unless I wanted them.

Trelly's Misc Cauldron Bubble. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Miss Cassie should be re-opening her Etsy store soon. I hear she has some new polishes out for Valentines Day! Check her out! I'm fairly certain that Cauldron Bubble is no longer available, but it might come back around next Halloween. Happy shopping!

More soon! ^_^

Stash Swatch Initiative: Trelly's Misc The Moon Sees Me

Hi there! Today I have another Trelly's Misc creation to show off! This is The Moon Sees Me.

Trelly's Misc The Moon Sees Me. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
The Moon Sees Me is a gorgeous combination of pastel and holo glitters. I used one coat plus a coat of Seche Vite over yesterday's Kim-Pletely In Love swatch. No issues with the formula, however, I'll be careful in the future to keep it to one moon per nail. I thought multiples looked too busy, but that is just my personal preference.
Trelly's Misc The Moon Sees Me. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Anyway, I see pastel hexes in pink, blue, and green; bigger pastel, blue hexes; tiny holo hexes, holo bar glitter; and, of course, the holo moon-shaped glitter. I'm loving this and can't wait to try this over all the colors! I think soft grey and muted teal would be lovely as well. The moon-shaped glitter did lay flat on my nail, however, you do need to be mindful about placement--you'll see in the last picture that I wasn't and one or two are hanging off the edge.

Trelly's Misc can be found on Etsy, and I think the best place to keep an eye out for info about restocks and new releases is here, on Facebook.

NOTW: Champagne Stars

Hello again!!

Today I want to show you a mani I did for New Year's.

Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
My most recent order from Trelly's Misc included a free mini of Berry Christmas, which I don't think was released for sale. I'm hoping it will be because it's a brilliant mix of finer glitters, and I adore it. Berry Christmas has deep blue, periwinkle, rose gold/pink, bright fuchsia glitters, and holo shimmer swimming a clear base. It looks good over a lot of different base colors. I've tried it over OPI Koala Berry and China Glaze Secret-Peri-wink-le.

Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
This mani was inspired by Berry Christmas--the idea came to mind as soon as I saw it. I love it when that happens! For this look, I used a base of Sinful Colors Nail Hardener, one coat of Orly Rage on all but my ring finger, which got one coat of Zoya Ibiza. Once that was dry, I stamped using the same colors and Bundle Monster plates BM05 and BM14. Then I dabbed on Berry Christmas focusing at the top of my nails to create a gradient or 'glitter rain'. Everything then got a generous coat of NYC's In a New York Minute. I loved wearing this!

I tried it matted down with Butter London's Matte Finish a few days later. Equally as pretty!

Stash Swatch Initiative: Trelly's Misc I Fake Rocked Your World

Hello!

Trelly's Misc I Fake Rocked Your World. Indoors, artificial light, with flash.
Quickie post to show you this bit of awesome:

Trelly's Misc I Fake Rocked Your World. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
This is I Fake Rocked Your World from Trelly's Misc. What an awesome name for an awesome polish (and I just noticed it now, but it looks like my bottle has a typo--oops!)! Easy A became a quick favorite of mine. Anyway, this has a white jelly base with two sizes of shiny, teal, square glitter; tiny teal hexes; tiny pink squares; larger orange hexes; and matte pink hexes. Swatches today are done without a base coat, three coats of I Fake Rocked Your World, and one coat of Seche Vite. The formula is good, I did add a little polish thinner, but it wasn't really giving me issues before that (just my preference).

Trelly's Misc I Fake Rocked Your World. Outdoors, sunlight, no flash.
The base is very sheer at first. I didn't think it would be opaque on its own, so the first time I wore this I layered it over a base of Milani White on the Spot. I think this look is a little harsh, and prefer to wear this on it's own now that I've tried it out that way. I bet it would be gorgeous layered over teal or orange cremes, too.
Trelly's Misc I Fake Rocked Your World. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Trelly's Misc can be found here. Looks like she's closed up shop for a bit. I would expect any news on reopening/restocks to come through her Facebook page.
