Stash Swatch Initiative: Rainbow Honey Petit Four

Hello!

I'm still here! I wanted to show you this swatch of Rainbow Honey Petit Four, since it is part of the brand new collection, La Patisserie, that launches tonight!

Rainbow Honey Petit Four. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

Petit Four is a cute, glitter polish with a pale yellow base. I love the glitter mix here. I see light blue, coral, and pink glitter in a variety of shapes along with a sprinkle of pink shimmer. Swatches today are one coat of Petit Four over a base of Sinful Colors Unicorn, then one coat of Seche Vite. I didn't have any problems with the application, and I thought this was the perfect glitter coverage.

My mini bottle came in the mystery bag from May of last year, and while I haven't seen any swatches of the new collection yet, I would assume that this is the same polish. The new collection launches in just a few hours over at Rainbow Honey!

Stash Swatch Initiative: Rainbow Honey One Minute More

****Products in this post were sent for review!***

Hello!

Today, I've got my full review of Rainbow Honey's One Minute More.

Rainbow Honey One Minute More. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

One Minute More is a daffodil yellow with a lot of pink shimmer. It's hard to determine, but I think there is also some green and gold shimmer amidst all that pink.

Rainbow Honey One Minute More. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

Swatches are one coat of Sinful Colors Base Coat, two coats of One Minute More, and one coat of NYC In a New York Minute. Formula on this polish is fantastic for a yellow. It is opaque but not streaky, yet odd. I wouldn't say this is a creme-based polish, but that is the overall look of it. It is strangely thick and almost textured, not very fluid at all, but that's what makes it apply so well, I think. It does dry smooth, but it is very strange.

Rainbow Honey One Minute More. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

My bottle was sent for review but can be purchased from Rainbow Honey. It is a part of their recent Summer Mixtape! collection, and I was given a promo code to share that is good to the end of the month: MIXTAPE20

More soon! ^_^

Preview: Rainbow Honey Summer Mixtape! Collection

***Products in this post were sent for review!***

Hiya!!

Omigosh you guys!! It's been a big week for Never Without Polish! The blog turned two on Tuesday, July 15th, and just today, I received my very first product for review! I was not expecting this at all, and I'm honored to have a review for one of my favorite brands, Rainbow Honey!

Rainbow Honey sent me three polishes from their brand new Summer Mixtape! Collection, which comes out today at 10 p.m. eastern time. So, like right now!! They also sent along a promo code, which I was encouraged to share. So, if you're shopping at Rainbow Honey between now and August, 31st, 2014, use this code for 20% off: MIXTAPE20   Awesome, right?

I was sent Elevate, One Minute More, and Work It Out. Onward to the swatches!

Elevate is a fun glitter topper in a clear base full of iridescent shimmer. I chose to show this over black, Cult Nails Nevermore, so you could see that pretty shimmer in full glory. This one is so fun!

Rainbow Honey Elevate. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

One Minute More is a yellow polish packed with pink shimmer. Totally unique!

Lastly, Work It Out is a perfect coral creme with a vintage feel. I love this one!

Look for my normal, full swatches and review on these in the next few weeks. I wanted to get these on the blog as soon as possible, so you could all see them just in time for the launch.

GOT Polish Challenge: Dots

Hello!

Today's GOT Polish Challenge prompt is "Dots"!

Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

I was inspired by two different bloggers here. First, I used Chalkboard Nails' tutorial for the placement. Second, my color choices were inspired by this post from A Girl and Her Polish. I started with a base of Sinful Colors Unicorn. I used a few different sized dotting tools to place dots over Unicorn with Color Club Wildflower, China Glaze Riveting, and Zoya Robyn. One coat of NYC In a New York Minute left this smooth and glossy.

After that, I tried this out mattified. Love it both ways! Check out the rest of the dotticures!

Stash Swatch Initiative: China Glaze Champagne Bubbles

Hello!

Here's another polish that has sat untried in my Melmer forever. This is China Glaze Champagne Bubbles.

China Glaze Champagne Bubbles. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Champagne Bubbles is a shimmery yellow-gold polish with a dusting of tiny silver hex glitters. It's unfortunate that this polish is so yellow-toned. I think it could have been epic if the base color was a lighter golden color, or a peachy neutral, which would've been more indicative of actual champagne. I think we would have gone absolutely crazy for a polish like that, but in it's current form, Champagne Bubbles is just a forgotten part of 2011's Let it Snow collection. Oh what could have been...

China Glaze Champagne Bubbles. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Anyway, swatches today are a base coat of Seche Clear, two coats of Champagne Bubbles, and one coat of NYC In a New York Minute. The formula isn't too thick and applies easily. Just take care not to overwork this one because it will start to bald a bit.

China Glaze Champagne Bubbles. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
I'm pretty sure I purchased this a long, long time ago from Head2Toe Beauty only because it was in one of the holiday gift sets that I wanted. The entire Let It Snow Collection, along with some of the gift sets, are still available here.

More soon! ^_^

Stash Swatch Initiative: KBShimmer Quantum Leaf

Hello!

The last of the KBShimmer in my stash is up for swatching today. This is Quantum Leaf!

KBShimmer Quantum Leaf. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Quantum Leaf is a mustard-yellow based polish with multiple types of glitter swimming within. I see extra-large, red hexes. Large red, orange, and yellow hexes. Small and tiny, red hexes. Along with the glitter, I can see both holographic shimmer and a red shimmer. Hellooooo, Autumn!

KBShimmer Quantum Leaf. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Swatches today are a base coat of Seche Clear, two coats of Quantum Leaf, one coat of Gelous, and one coat of NYC In a New York Minute. This polish, like the others I own, has a great formula. This is surprisingly opaque and brushed on easily.

KBShimmer Quantum Leaf. Indoors, filtered sunlight (window), no flash.
This color is one of those ugly/pretty polishes. You love it or hate it. I ended up loving it! It's like nothing else I have... but that would make sense, since I tend to steer clear of yellows, especially those of the mustard variety! This one drew me in!

Once again, this was purchased by me from KBShimmer.

Stash Swatch Initiative: China Glaze Sun-Kissed

Hello!

I have yet another neon polish from last year's China Glaze Summer Neons Collection. This one is Sun-kissed.

China Glaze Sun-kissed. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Sun-kissed is a super neon yellow with a matching shimmer. This yellow leans a little green, and it is eye-searingly bright! Unfortunately, I chose to wear this one when the sun was hiding, so no direct sunlight shots to show. On second thought, that might have been a blessing in disguise because I'm not sure my camera would've handled it anyway!

China Glaze Sun-kissed. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Swatches today are a base of Seche Clear, three coats of Sun-kissed, and one coat of NYC In a New York Minute. Formula on this is pretty good. It dries fast, and it does dry matte. No issues to report.

China Glaze Sun-kissed. Indoors, artificial light, with flash.
I can't recall where I purchased this bottle from, however, it was likely Sally's. Sally's won't have this one in stock anymore, but head on over to Head2Toe Beauty because they still have it available along with the rest of this collection!

Stash Swatch Initiative: Barielle Lemondrops

Hello!

Today's post is a quick one! This is Barielle Lemondrops.

Barielle Lemondrops. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Lemondrops is a lemony-yellow creme polish. It is a cheery, standard shade.

Barielle Lemondrops. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Swatches today are a base coat of Seche Clear, two coats of Lemondrops, and one coat of NYC In a New York Minute. The formula on this is pretty good for a yellow polish, which are notorious for normally being pretty terrible to work with. This one is thick, nicely pigmented, and self-levels really well. I did use two thick coats and found that I needed to be patient for the first coat dry before adding the second.

Barielle Lemondrops. Outdoors, natural light (shade), no flash.
I purchased this bottle directly from Barielle. They run promotions for their Facebook fans on occasion, so if you are interested in trying this brand out, I'd suggest heading on over to their page.

Stash Swatch Initiative: Ruby Wing Wildflower

Hello!

This is my one and only Ruby Wing Polish. Ruby Wing is part of the Color Club family, but all their polishes are UV activated -- meaning they change color in sunlight! This one is Wildflower.

Ruby Wing Wildflower. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Indoors, Wildflower is a deep yellow color with a fine, light green shimmer. Outside, it turns a deep orange, but that shimmer is still there, which is quite pretty on either hue.

Ruby Wing Wildflower. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Swatches today are a base coat of Seche Clear, three coats of Wildflower, and one coat of NYC In a New York Minute. This polish is slightly sheer, almost jelly-like. The formula is great -- it glides on and self-levels perfectly.

Ruby Wing Wildflower. Outdoors, sunlight, no flash.
While this is a fun novelty polish, I'm not blown away by the special effect because the color change isn't drastic. I'm glad I tried one out, but I don't think I need more of these.

I bought this bottle from Head2Toe Beauty.

Stash Swatch Initiative: Sinful Colors Unicorn

Hello again!!
Sinful Colors Unicorn. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.

Today I have my first Sinful Colors swatch post, I think. Strangely, this one happens to be my most recent Sinful Colors purchase! This is Unicorn:

Sinful Colors Unicorn. Outdoors, sunlight, no flash.
Unicorn is a great pale, pastel yellow creme. I'd been on the hunt for this one for awhile, since I can't come up with another polish quite like it, so I was pleased when I finally found it at my local Walgreens.

Sinful Colors Unicorn. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
I used a base coat of Sinful Colors Nail Hardener, three coats of Unicorn, and one coat of Seche Vite for swatches here. I usually do only two coats of polish, but this one needed three. It was a little streaky and patchy, but yellow polishes tend to be finicky like that. This one wasn't too much of a pain. I was hoping it would lean a little more towards a jelly finish so I could potentially dupe Candeo Jellybean using Black Cat Lacquer's Rainbow Brite. I'll still give it a go sometime with a thin final coat of unicorn--results to be published... eventually!

NOTW: Lemondrops and fun!

Happy Friday!! In one week, I'll be on VACATION!! ^_^

Here's what I've been wearing all week. A bright, sunny, simple mani!

I started with one coat of Sinful Colors Nail Hardening Base, two coats of Barielle Lemondrops on all but my ring fingers (which got two coats of Zoya Arizona), and a coat of Seche Vite.

Bright and sunny! Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Once that was all dry, I added a careful coat of Black Cat Lacquer's Rainbow Brite and topped it with more SV. I reviewed Rainbow Brite in this post, where I also explain in greater detail how I applied what I call a 'careful' coat of glitter polish.

Lemondrops and fun! Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
This was fun and easy and quick--exactly what I wanted after the rather involved mani's I've done the last few weeks (here and here too). This is reminiscent of Candeo Jellybean. I'm not saying this look is a dupe for Jellybean, but I think it's close enough for me that it kills that lemming!

Hope you all have a great weekend. Wish me some sun, so I can get some major swatching done! I don't want you to be without posts while I'm away!

More Monday!!!!!!!!!! ^_^
