Stash Swatch Initiative: Barielle Falling Star

Hello!

Today's polish is Barielle's Falling Star.

Barielle Falling Star. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Falling Star is a phenomenal blue creme laced with tiny copper hex glitter. It is complementary colors executed perfectly! I think it's very pretty and unique for a polish which makes it interesting.

Swatches today are a base coat of Seche Clear, two coats of Falling Star, and one coat of NYC In a New York Minute. This polish has a great formula. It glides on smoothly and is very pigmented.

I purchased my bottle directly from Barielle via their website. They often run decent sales for their Facebook fans, so check out their Facebook page

Stash Swatch Initiative: Barielle Lemondrops

Hello!

Today's post is a quick one! This is Barielle Lemondrops.

Barielle Lemondrops. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Lemondrops is a lemony-yellow creme polish. It is a cheery, standard shade.

Swatches today are a base coat of Seche Clear, two coats of Lemondrops, and one coat of NYC In a New York Minute. The formula on this is pretty good for a yellow polish, which are notorious for normally being pretty terrible to work with. This one is thick, nicely pigmented, and self-levels really well. I did use two thick coats and found that I needed to be patient for the first coat dry before adding the second.

I purchased this bottle directly from Barielle. They run promotions for their Facebook fans on occasion, so if you are interested in trying this brand out, I'd suggest heading on over to their page.

Stash Swatch Initiative: Barielle Elle's Spell

Hello again!

Barielle Elle's Spell. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Today I have Barielle Elle's Spell for you! This is the polish that made me try this brand. I was enticed by the flakies. ^_^

Elle's Spell is a red jelly with red and orange flakies. I see some of the flakies shift to a yellowish gold at times as well, but it's not as abundant as the red and orange. This is a lovely polish. I had no issues with the formula. It's great for layering or wearing alone.

First, I layered one coat of Elle's Spell over yesterday's Wet n Wild Eggplant Frost swatch.

Here it is on it's own. This is a base coat of Sally Hansen Nail Protix, three coats of Elle's Spell, and I skipped the topcoat on this one because it was pretty and shiny all by itself.

I'm not sure where Barielles can be found in the real world. I ordered mine from the interwebs at Barielle's website. I recommend liking Barielle's Facebook page. They do flash sales for their fans on occassion, which is why I ordered when I did (they offered a code to their Facebook fans that gave me 40% off everything--including shipping!). My only gripe is the packaging. My three bottles came in a large, slightly padded envelope-type mailer but were not individually wrapped up, so they could bounce around in there and bump into one another. Thankfully, my order arrived unbroken, but I can see the potential for breakage in transit.

NOTW: Lemondrops and fun!

Happy Friday!! In one week, I'll be on VACATION!! ^_^

Here's what I've been wearing all week. A bright, sunny, simple mani!

I started with one coat of Sinful Colors Nail Hardening Base, two coats of Barielle Lemondrops on all but my ring fingers (which got two coats of Zoya Arizona), and a coat of Seche Vite.

Bright and sunny! Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Once that was all dry, I added a careful coat of Black Cat Lacquer's Rainbow Brite and topped it with more SV. I reviewed Rainbow Brite in this post, where I also explain in greater detail how I applied what I call a 'careful' coat of glitter polish.

Lemondrops and fun! Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
This was fun and easy and quick--exactly what I wanted after the rather involved mani's I've done the last few weeks (here and here too). This is reminiscent of Candeo Jellybean. I'm not saying this look is a dupe for Jellybean, but I think it's close enough for me that it kills that lemming!

Hope you all have a great weekend. Wish me some sun, so I can get some major swatching done! I don't want you to be without posts while I'm away!

More Monday!!!!!!!!!! ^_^
