Stash Swatch Initiative: Trelly's MISC Never Growing Up

Hello!

Been awhile since we've seen a swatch around here! No worries, I've got three more lined up for this week, but today I have Trelly's MISC Never Growing Up.

Trelly's MISC Never Growing Up. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Never Growing Up is a cute mix of matte glitters in black, grey, and pink in a clear base. I see small, grey hexes; pink bars; pink stars; small, black rectangles; large, black hearts; large, black hexes; and micro glitter in grey, black, and pink. This polish is the perfect example of my preferred glitter coverage -- not too much so you can see each individual shape on the nail, but also not so sparse that it looks unfinished!

For swatches today, I've used one slightly manipulated coat of Never Growing Up over my China Glaze Sun-kissed swatch from back in August. I finished this off with one coat of Gelous and one of NYC In a New York Minute. This polish gave me no issues at all.

Never Growing Up was from Trelly's summer collection, and I'm sorry to say, that I don't see it available on her site at the moment. However, there are a few others still available from the summer collection (Barbie Dream House is AWESOME too) AND Witches in the Sky is back from last year!!!! I purchased my bottle awhile ago, but keep a look out for announcements on her Facebook page -- polishes come back often!

Haul: September!

A little late, but if you recall, I was little busy last month - teehee!

Busy or not, I always seem to find the time and money for polish purchases.

I confessed last month that Rainbow Honey is my weakness. Along with Trelly's MISC, they're my two favorite independent polish makers. And that's exactly who I bought from this time around!

From left to right: Leonids, Star Stuff, and Orionids. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Early in September, Rainbow Honey brought back a lot of their limited editions, so I was quick to pick up those that I had missed plus the September LE: The Shooting Star Set (Leonids, Star Stuff, and Orionids), Deep Field, Bubble Beam, and The Frizz (September's LE).

Trelly's introduced a Fall/Halloween inspired collection. My picks were Hocus Pocus and Scruff Bunnies. Both are matte glitter toppers!

We had a great time on our wedding trip -- everything went on without problems (though the rain could have let up a bit! We got rained on nearly every day!). We were very happy to share the beauty of Montana with our dearest family and friends. A few non-polish related pictures:

Oh, and here is how my wedding day nails came out! Three coats of OPI Don't Touch My Tutu and a small red accent heart drawn with Avon Reviving Red nail striper polish. Simple and elegant!

October is almost half over! I can't believe it! I haven't worn nearly enough Halloween polishes or looks yet! I had fully intended on participating in the 33 Day Challenge going on right now, but I admit defeat and will have to abandon that idea. Not enough hours in the day! Next time, ladies, next time!

More soon! ^_^

Haul: August!

Phew! Another month gone already? Wasn't Christmas yesterday? Sheesh!

Well, as they say: "When it rains, it pours!". Here in NeverWithoutPolish Land we have quite a bit going on. Our wedding day is fast approaching -- September 28th! We leave in three weeks for Minnesota where we'll pick up my parents and all the stuff I had shipped there and drive out to where the wedding is taking place in Glacier National Park. If rounding up all the last minute wedding details plus packing and preparing for that trip wasn't enough, we've accepted an offer on our house here in Maryland! The buyer is moving fast, and we go to closing two days before we leave for wedding/vacation. This all means that we've had to find a rental, and now have to pack up every last bit of stuff we've accumulated in the three years here and move it. In three weeks. All in three weeks. Excuse me while I go have a little breakdown.... Still here? Good. So's all this stuff! Did I mention Mr. NWP and I are going to have to do all of this and continue to work our day jobs? We've used up all our vacation time to go get married, so there's none left for us to use to move this stuff! Life is so crazy-busy at the moment!

Enough boo-hooin' about how much stuff is left to do, on to the goods!

This month I went a little bit overboard buying polish... and surpassed my Melmer's capacity to hold it all. Oopsies. So, what'd I get?

Zoya Freebies. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Lots of Zoyas! I couldn't pass up their promo for these four free polishes with a $32 (I think) purchase. The freebies were Hunter, Louise, Flynn, and Pepper. So, I pretty much ordered everything else that was left on my Zoya wishlist. I picked up (and when I say "I picked up" I really mean, my fiance bought for me... he's so lovingly enabling): Carter, Miranda, Godiva, Trixie, Nyx, and Sunshine.

Zoya Loot. Indoors, artificial light, no flash.
Next up, I took advantage of Cult Nails' birthday celebration and snagged Mayhem and Nevermore.

And, I can never, ever pass up Rainbow Honey's limited editions. Rainbow Honey is my weakness. This is the Changeling Queen, Heisenburg, and the Power of Love. And just to prove how little will power I have regarding this brand, I have already placed ANOTHER order from them. They brought back a dozen or so of their most-requested limited editions on September 1st, and I couldn't resist.

I also picked up a couple of items at CVS -- a nice set of tweezers and some nippers. Finally, I snagged the latest Bundle Monster set of stamping plates and a handy plate-holder book/pouch. It works wonderfully! I used to keep my stamping plates in baseball card holders, but like many a polish fiend, found that they slipped out too easily, usually leaving a mess. This zippered booklet is the perfect solution! The spaces for the stamping plates fit the plates snugly and you can easily see each plate's design through the material. And, it comes in a pink carbon fiber pattern. Bonus!

This past month was pretty awesome! I have to say in my defense, however, everything was purchased with a sale, coupon code, or at a discount this month! Woohoo!

As much as I hate breaking my blogging schedule, I've not had much time to think about polish lately. I'm hoping to participate in the 33 day challenge planned by Debbie Crumpet starting the end of this month, but I can't be sure to have the time. I'll post what and when I can, but if you don't see me until the middle of October, don't be surprised!

More soon-ish (as long as I'm still sane!) ^_^
