NOTW: Red and Wrapped!

Here's what I've been wearing this week.

I started with a base coat of Duri Rejuvacote. To all but my ring finger, I then added two coats of OPI The Color Of Minnie, plus one coat of Seche Vite. My ring finger got wrapped in a nail sticker from a set I bought from Maurices a few years ago. They've been hanging out with my nail supplies for a long time!

The great thing about this set of wraps is that they're not made from polish, so I can keep the rest of the set to use later on. This was my first try at nail wraps, and I ended up trimming them a little too short. I used two wraps for this mani. They are very long, so I trimmed out a few flower details off the extra bit to add to my middle finger as well. The stickers all got a coat of NYC In a New York Minute.

This mani has lasted a whole week! It's simple, but I love it! More soon! ^_^

Haul: July!

Hello! My oh my! Where did July go?!

I stuck to the rules (two online orders, six polish or less with minor in-store purchases) this month! Partly because The Wishlist is nearly completed! Partly because I need to cut back on spending! Don't we all?

I was supremely lucky to catch the Nerdlacquer restock late last June. So these pretty babies showed up in my mailbox early in July. I snagged Entirely Unlike Tea and Cyance Friction.

Second purchase came from Trelly's MISC! I missed out on these the first time, so I was quick to pick up Never Growing Up, Barbie Dream House, and Sugar Coated the minute the restock went live.

Now, onto a few in-store purchases. I was after a grape-purple creme, and after looking at probably every single purple polish in Target, settled on Sinful Colors Amethyst... aaaaaaaaand Maybelline's Clearly Spotted may have also jumped into my cart as well.

My Polish-ESP kicked in while out an about that same day to tell me to stop by my local JCPenney salon to check out their stock of old OPI polishes. My hunch was correct, and although I had to pick up every red-hued polish on the shelf to find it, I did finally come across a bottle of The Color of Minnie. A happy-dance may or may not have occurred.... >.>

Lastly, a surprise showed up in my mailbox! Rainbow Honey sent me a mini polish along with a coupon to use this month! How awesome is that? I will consider this a 'gift' as far as disclosure goes, since this was not intended to be a product sent for review. It's a really great marketing idea, mostly because it works! I'm most definitely going to pick up something from them this month!

Stash Swatch Initiative: Orly Rococo A-Go-Go

This is Orly Rococo A-Go-Go.

Rococo A-Go-Go is a plum jelly polish with tons of metallic, purple shimmer. In the bottle, it's also got some shimmer that shifts from a coppery orange through golden to just touch on green. I couldn't see this on my nails at all really, except for a tiny bit of copper flash here and there. Even if the duochrome part falls flat, this polish is dark and sultry. It is really pretty.

Swatches today are a base coat of Seche Clear, two coats of Rococo A-Go-Go, and one coat of NYC In a New York Minute. This polish has a good formula, which provided issue-free application.
